Avoiding-blog

The Kawad Yatra is a physically demanding spiritual journey, and avoiding injuries is essential to complete it safely and peacefully. Proper preparation plays a key role. Start with light walking or stretching exercises a few weeks before the yatra to strengthen your legs, back, and shoulders. Always wear comfortable, well-cushioned footwear to reduce stress on feet and joints.

Foot injuries like blisters are common during the Kawad Yatra. To prevent them, keep your feet clean and dry, apply antiseptic powder or petroleum jelly, and change socks regularly. If a blister forms, treat it immediately to avoid infection. Maintaining correct posture while carrying the kawad is also important; balance the weight evenly to prevent shoulder, neck, and back strain.

Take regular breaks during the journey. Resting helps your muscles recover and reduces the risk of cramps and fatigue. Stay hydrated by drinking clean water at regular intervals, and consume light, nutritious food to maintain energy levels. Avoid walking barefoot on rough or hot surfaces.

Crowded routes can increase the risk of falls, so stay alert and move carefully. Most importantly, listen to your body—if you feel severe pain, dizziness, or exhaustion, seek medical help immediately. A safe yatra ensures a spiritually fulfilling experience. 🙏
