Haridwar Kawad Yatra begins every year during the holy month of Shravan (July–August). Millions of devotees collect Ganga Jal from Har Ki Pauri and travel on foot to their hometown Shiva temples. Popular routes include Haridwar to Delhi, Haridwar to Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, and Saharanpur highways. The Yatra peaks during Sawan Shivratri, when maximum pilgrims walk with decorated kawads to offer the sacred water to Lord Shiva.
